Martin以自己博物館中的1937年D-28原型琴進行全方位掃描復刻，並經由舊化處理推出的精確複製琴，複製了詳細的細節與規格，包括了Hide Glue、手工切削的扇形X-bracing等。琴面為Adirondack Spruce、Madagascar Rosewood琴背與側板、Mahogany琴頸與Ebony指板，而更薄的漆面搭配上Aged Checking也使整把琴從觸覺、視覺到聽覺，都可以擁有像是1930年代般的老琴感受。此外木材經過了Martin的VTS烘烤技術處理(Vintage Tone System)，VTS使木材短時間乾燥老化，能模擬出古老Martin吉他乾透的老音色，完美均衡的低頻搭配清脆又扎實的中頻，音色肥厚且甜美，而驚人的共鳴也是來自於特選的輕量木材。
