全新2022 Gibson Custom Shop Tak Matsumoto 1955 Les Paul Goldtop Murphy Lab Aged

這是Gibson Custom於2022年發表的限量琴款，復刻日本天團B'z的吉他手「松本孝弘」手中編號5-9937的1955 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop，於日本限定販售，限量150支，在開賣當天迅速完銷。

松本孝弘本人著迷於Jeff Beck的1954 Les Paul 「Oxblood」，多年來他一直在找尋適合的1954 Les Paul，當他在2019年遇到了這支與1954規格相似的1955 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop，這把吉他為All Goldtop，也就是包括琴背都是金色的，但琴頸後方的金色漆面已經磨損，松本孝弘決定改造這把吉他，他以Oxblood為概念，將原始的P90更換成P490的Humbucker拾音器，除了保留了這把吉他的金色漆面以外，他還將琴頸後方重新上了一層透明漆，蓋住了原始磨損的區域。吉他在改造完成後不僅音色強勁，且保留了50年代Les Paul特有的粗壯琴頸，這使他相當滿意，這把吉他也在他於2020年推出的個人作品「Bluesman」專輯中大量的使用。

2022年Gibson Custom以Murphy Lab等級復刻，這是由Gibson傳奇技師Tom Murphy帶領的全新系列，
採用獲得專利的全新化學技術所製作，使外觀看起來更像是一把真正彈奏數十年的老吉他，有別於以往Murphy Aged完全刀刻製作的舊化，Murphy Lab團隊對1950至1960年代初黃金時期所使用的原漆進行逆向工程的科學研究，大部分利用熱破壞方式讓表面透明漆產生自然的Weather Checking裂紋，使整體舊化呈現的更加自然，更像是因為年代所自然產生，能夠由吉他的氛圍感受到時間的流逝，也完整了復刻了原琴規格，包括真實重現了松本孝弘將琴頸後方重新噴上一層透明漆的細節。

原廠配置一組復刻原琴的BurstBucker Pro Alnico V拾音器，桃花心木琴身與琴頸、Indian Rosewood指板，而琴頸規格為Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape，也包括了新版復刻琴才有的美國Luxe Bumblebee大黃蜂油質電容，與全新升級的復古線路，

This is the limited edition model released by Gibson Custom in 2022. The original guitar was owned by Tak Matsumoto, guitarist of the renowned Japanese band B'z, and is a 1955 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop, numbered 5-9937. It was sold exclusively in Japan, limited to 150 units.

Tak Matsumoto is fascinated by Jeff Beck's 1954 Les Paul "Oxblood" and had been searching for a suitable 1954 Les Paul for many years. In 2019, he came across this 1955 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop, which closely resembled the 1954 specifications. This guitar is an All Goldtop, meaning it has a gold finish, including the back. However, the gold paint on the back of the neck was worn. Tak decided to modify this guitar, using the Oxblood concept, replacing the original P90 pickups with P490 humbuckers. He retained the guitar's gold finish and applied a clear coat over the worn area on the back of the neck. After the modification, the guitar not only had a powerful sound but also retained the characteristic thick neck of a 1950s Les Paul, which satisfied him greatly. This guitar was extensively used in his 2020 solo album "Bluesman."

In 2022, Gibson Custom reissued this guitar with the Murphy Lab series, a new series led by legendary Gibson luthier Tom Murphy. Using patented new chemical techniques, the guitar is made to look like a vintage instrument played for decades. Most of the aging is done through thermal destruction, creating natural-looking weather checking cracks in the finish, giving the guitar a more authentic, timeworn appearance. This reissue also faithfully reproduces the original specifications, including Tak's detail of applying a clear coat over the worn neck area.

The guitar comes equipped with a set of BurstBucker Pro Alnico V pickups, a mahogany body, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard. The neck profile is the Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape, and it also features Luxe Bumblebee capacitors and an upgraded vintage wiring harness, exclusive to this new reissue model.

The guitar is in brand new condition.
