1987 年，Slash 向 Gibson 原廠購入兩把相同配色的 Les Paul Standard，其中序號 81757532 長年陪伴其巡演，並出現在 Guns N’ Roses 1987 年首張專輯中最經典的 “Sweet Child O’ Mine” MV 中。另一把序號 81607535 則於 1999 年在家中遭竊，使得 “Jessica” 成為 Slash 最珍視的吉他之一，至今仍是其巡演中最常使用的主力琴款。

本琴採用桃花心木琴身與琴頸，琴頸輪廓為接近 60 年代規格的 Custom Slash Profile。原廠精準重現三片式楓木面板，並忠實還原原琴由 Cherry Burst 褪色後形成的 Honey Burst 色澤。舊化工藝由 Tom Murphy 親自完成，完整複製原琴的使用痕跡，包括琴橋下方極具代表性的煙燙痕、斷頸修復痕跡，以及多年巡演所留下的大量磨損，使整體細節高度貼近原琴。

拾音器配置為與原琴相同的 Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro II，具備高輸出與飽滿顆粒感，能完美呈現 Slash 標誌性的音色。

In near-mint, collector-grade condition, this is a limited edition of only 100 units worldwide featuring Slash’s hand-signed version. Released in 2008 as the first reissue collaboration between Gibson Custom Shop and Slash, it was masterfully crafted by legendary luthier Tom Murphy. This model faithfully recreates Slash’s 1987 Les Paul Standard with serial number 81757532, famously known as “Jessica.” A total of 150 guitars were produced in this series, including 100 hand-signed pieces and 50 unsigned versions.

In 1987, Slash purchased two Les Paul Standards in the same finish directly from Gibson. Among them, serial number 81757532 accompanied him throughout years of touring and was featured in the iconic “Sweet Child O’ Mine” music video from Guns N’ Roses’ 1987 debut album. The other guitar, serial number 81607535, was stolen from his home in 1999. As a result, “Jessica” became one of Slash’s most treasured instruments and remains one of his primary guitars on tour to this day.

This guitar features a mahogany body and neck, with a Custom Slash Profile neck carve closely resembling late ’60s specifications. The three-piece maple top is meticulously recreated, along with the distinctive Honey Burst finish that evolved from the original Cherry Burst over time. The aging work, personally executed by Tom Murphy, precisely replicates the wear patterns of the original guitar, including the iconic cigarette burn mark beneath the bridge, repaired headstock cracks, and extensive playwear from years of touring, bringing the instrument remarkably close to the original in every detail.

It is equipped with Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro II pickups, identical to those in the original guitar, offering strong output and rich, full-bodied tonal character that perfectly captures Slash’s signature sound.

The 2008 Inspired by Slash Les Paul Standard is one of the most iconic and sought-after Slash signature reissues. Among them, the hand-signed versions are the rarest on the market. As Tom Murphy no longer produces aged Signature Models, these early master-built signed aged reissues have long been regarded as highly collectible pieces with strong appreciation potential, making this an exceptional opportunity for serious collectors and players alike.
