Collector's Choice是2010年Gibson推出的收藏家系列，當年原廠號稱這是地球上最接近真正元年Gibson且最頂級的復刻系列，復刻依然存在於收藏家或玩家手中知名度較高或較特別的50-60年代Les Paul。而用料與音色都經過嚴格檢驗，原廠採用3D掃描技術，完整複製原琴的所有規格細節與使用痕跡，而CC也是Gibson所有量產琴中最具有收藏性的系列之一。
CC#5 "Donna"是Gibson於2015年發表的限量True Historic CC系列，全球限量300支，復刻自知名Les Paul Burst收藏家Tom Wittrock手中編號9-1923的1959 Les Paul Standard。Donna是一支非常獨特的1959 Les Paul Burst，因為Donna獨特的楓木面板，必須符合標準的木材才能被挑選並保留製作，這導致了整個生產耗時了五年才完成，Tom Wittrock本人也參與了每一塊木材的最終審核。
特選桃花心木琴身、琴頸，搭配玫瑰木指板，配色為Donna Burst，中間亮眼的太陽黃，邊緣圍繞著深櫻桃紅，就像是1959年剛從原廠出來一樣，幾乎沒有褪色，獨特的配色讓人一眼就能識別出Donna。原廠搭載一組依據原琴PAF數據所設計的Gibson Custom Bucker拾音器，加上3.9公斤的完美重量，聲音非常通透、乾爽。而CC#5 Donna也是Custom Shop第一款以True Historic等級製作並發表，基於當年Gibson產線中等級最高的True Historic規格，使用最頂級的木料與全新改良的色漆、黏膠、配件等，所有規格都忠於50年代Les Paul，原廠定義 True Historic 為接近完美的 Gibson復刻琴。

2016 Gibson Custom Shop True Historic Collector's Choice CC#5 1959 Les Paul "Donna" Aged with true historic spec. Gibson produced only 300 in 2015. It sounds vintage, has a dry, transparent tone with excellent resonance. The guitar is a collectible item and is in mint condition.

A precise re-creation of a 1959 Les Paul
One of the most anticipated Collector’s Choice releases since the series was introduced, Collector’s Choice #5, 1959 Les Paul #9-1923 aka “Donna” was well worth the wait. In a happy accident of circumstance, Donna’s very unique top was years in the finding, causing a delay of nearly half a decade as qualifying wood was identified and set aside. We were so concerned with getting the selection of top woods right that Tom Wittrock, “Donna’s” current owner, was brought in for final approval of each and every one.
As time passed, the Collector’s Choice ranged continued to evolve alongside Gibson Custom’s Historic Reissue series, which reaches an entirely new level in 2015. As a result, a now mythic “Donna” comes to the world as one of the most beautiful guitars in the Collector’s Choice series and one of the first to feature our True Historic specifications, making her among the first to achieve a level of replica that would be considered counterfeit if it weren’t built by Gibson.
