這把1958年Les Paul Standard原琴是Greg Martin早期在Kentucky Headhunters樂團時的主力吉他，除了打造並貫穿葛萊美獎得主生涯的PAF復古音色以外，其誘人且經過歲月洗禮的褪色「Dirty Lemon Burst」的外觀更是讓它成為眾人熟悉的標誌。

Collector’s Choice is a collector series launched by Gibson in 2010. At the time, the factory claimed it to be the closest high-end reproduction to an original-era Gibson on Earth. This series recreates highly renowned or historically significant 1950s to 1960s Les Pauls that still exist in the hands of collectors or players. Both materials and tone are subject to strict standards, and Gibson employs 3D scanning technology to fully replicate every specification detail and wear mark of the original instrument. The CC series is widely recognized as one of the most collectible production lines Gibson has ever released.

Collector’s Choice #15 Greg Martin 1958 Les Paul is a Collector’s Choice model introduced by Gibson Custom in 2013, limited to 300 pieces worldwide. This guitar is meticulously aged by the Custom Shop to perfectly recreate Greg Martin’s 1958 Les Paul Standard serial number 8-6756, famously played by the guitarist of the American country rock band The Kentucky Headhunters.

The original 1958 Les Paul Standard was Greg Martin’s main guitar during his early years with The Kentucky Headhunters, delivering the vintage PAF tone that helped define his Grammy Award-winning career. Its alluring, time-worn faded “Dirty Lemon Burst” finish has also become a signature look recognized by many. Collector’s Choice #15 is exceptional in every aspect. This finely detailed result, created in close collaboration with Greg Martin himself, comes from Gibson Custom’s 3D scanning and in-depth analysis of the original guitar, capturing every unique characteristic including the precise neck shape, a rounded yet not overly thick 1958 neck profile, and faithfully reproducing the original specifications, colors, hardware, and wear patterns. It is equipped with Custombucker PAF pickups specially replicated from the original, delivering every nuance of the original pickups.

The Collector’s Choice series has long been a symbol of value retention and appreciation and is a dream collection line for many Gibson collectors, with all CC models having increased in value in recent years. This particular Collector’s Choice #15 features the very special serial number #002 and is personally signed by Greg Martin on the back of the headstock, making it the only one among the 300 pieces with his signature.
