This is a 1998 Gibson 1958 Les Paul Reissue from the highly regarded “Good Wood Years” of the 1990s. This particular model is a YCS (Japan Yamano Custom Shop) version, a high-quality specification produced exclusively for Gibson’s Japanese distributor, Yamano Music. Many players believe that the materials and craftsmanship of these Japan-only YCS models surpassed those of the U.S. domestic versions of the same era, making them rarer and more desirable in the Western market.

It features a classic Iced Tea Burst finish paired with a wild 4A flamed Killer Top, a mahogany body, rosewood fretboard, and a 1958 neck profile. It comes equipped with the original ’57 Classic PAF pickups, with all parts fully stock and unmodified.

The overall condition is excellent, approximately 95%, with no notable damage. The frets show no wear, and the guitar remains impressively clean, almost unbelievable for a 28 year old guitar. It also includes the original checklist, tags, and all accompanying documents with matching serial numbers.
