1999年1月18日，Gibson宣布為紀念1959 Les Paul Burst登場四十週年，推出限量的40th Anniversary紀念琴，除了第一版全球限量100支由Gibson Custom傳奇技師Tom Murphy手工操刀的Aged舊化版本以外，另外還有無舊化的版本。而1999年的這款40th Anniversary因為是Gibson首次推出復刻版的限量紀念琴，意義重大，所以用料比起當時同等級的Reissue更好。此為無舊化版本，特選至少5A等級的Killer Top，配上經典的Iced Tea Burst，宏都拉斯桃花心木琴身、玫瑰木指板，琴頸為早期的59 Neck Profile，搭配原廠57 Classic PAF拾音器。整體九成五新，琴背有些許不明顯的使用痕跡，沒有過於明顯的大傷痕，Fret也幾乎沒有磨損，整體狀況相當不錯，並且證書齊全，非常難得。

1999年的40th Anniversary因Aged版本在市場上價格飆漲，導致無舊化版本價值也跟著上漲，如品相完整加上證書齊全，目前Aged版本在日本市場高達台幣70幾萬，VOS版本也要40幾萬起跳。40th Anniversary目前在市場上相當稀有，收藏價值相當高，有興趣的玩家們把握收藏機會。

On January 18, 1999, Gibson announced the release of a limited edition 40th Anniversary commemorative guitar to celebrate the 40th year of the 1959 Les Paul Burst.

The 1999 40th Anniversary model was significant as it marked Gibson's first foray into producing a limited edition reissue guitar. As a result, the materials used were of high quality compared to other Les Paul reissue guitars in 90s. It featured a specially selected 5A killer top, adorned with the iconic Iced Tea burst finish. The body was made of Honduran Mahogany, rosewood fretboard. The neck profile is the early '59 neck profile, and it comes with the original 57 Classic PAF pickups.

This guitar is in very good condition, with approximately 90% of its original state. There are some minor, inconspicuous signs of use on the back, but the frets show almost no wear.

Due to the incredible prices of the 1999 40th Anniversary Aged version in the market, the value of the non-aged version has also increased significantly. Its collectible value is quite high, making this a rare opportunity.
