2006年製，這是Gibson傳奇技師Tom Murphy於2000年時期親自舊化的作品，不同於現今由Custom Shop團隊大量製作的Murphy Lab系列，這些2000年初至2006年間的早期Tom Murphy手作系列採用了不同的超薄漆面，使音色共鳴更佳、舊化技術更為細膩、質感也更加獨特。

而這一把是日本總代理「山野樂器」特別向Gibson Cuatom訂製的HRM Edition特別版，搭配Tom Murphy Heavy Aged全手工重度舊化。HRM代表Hard Rock Maple硬質楓木，這是當時Custom Shop Historic Reissue系列中使用的一種高品質、比較稀有的面板選項，通常硬質楓木的紋路更緊密、木質地更硬、具有更好的共鳴與延音。而許多玩家認為，日本山野樂器版本比起美國市售版來得更好，所以在歐美市場上更稀有、也更受歡迎。

特選的桃花心木琴身、硬質虎紋楓木Top、馬達加斯加玫瑰木指板，琴頸為'59 Neck Profile。原廠配置一組Burstbucker Double Cream PAF拾音器，電容已升級為Luxe Bumblebee大黃蜂電容。而指板皆採用特選馬達加斯加玫瑰木，這是此時期的一大特色，馬達加斯加玫瑰木的紋路較接近巴西玫瑰木，有著明顯的木紋，除了中頻音色表現出色以外，也擁有乾淨又清晰的音色，如今因產量稀少，已經很難在新的吉他上見到。

整體九成新，Fret沒有明顯使用痕跡，各處有著原始Tom Murphy重度舊化痕跡，整體狀況非常好。

這是Tom Murphy最保值的型號之一，他本人親手舊化的作品在市場上已經絕版，除了在復刻系列上佔有重要的歷史角色外，當時的木頭的選料與品質也比起現今的更好，擁有極高的收藏價值，這些早期的Tom Murphy Aged Les Paul Reissue目前在市場上已經非常難見到，且HRM加上重度舊化版本更是少見。帶有序號的Checklist與Tags等文件齊全，機會難得，有興趣的收藏家請把握機會。

Made in 2006, this is a piece personally aged by legendary Gibson artisan Tom Murphy during the early 2000s. Unlike today’s Murphy Lab series, which is produced in larger quantities by the Custom Shop team, these early Tom Murphy hand-aged instruments from the early 2000s through 2006 feature a different ultra-thin lacquer finish, resulting in enhanced resonance, more refined aging techniques, and a distinctly unique texture and feel.

This particular guitar is a special HRM Edition custom ordered by Gibson’s exclusive Japanese dealer Yamano, featuring Tom Murphy Heavy Aged full hand-applied aging. HRM stands for Hard Rock Maple, a high-quality and relatively rare top option used in the Custom Shop Historic Reissue series at the time. Hard rock maple typically has tighter grain, greater density, and delivers improved resonance and sustain. Many players believe the Yamano versions surpass the standard U.S. market models, making them rarer and more desirable on the market.

It features a select mahogany body, a hard rock maple flamed top, a Madagascar rosewood fingerboard, and a ’59 neck profile. It is equipped from the factory with a set of Burstbucker double cream PAF pickups, and the capacitors have been upgraded to Luxe Bumblebee capacitors. The fingerboard is made from specially selected Madagascar rosewood, a hallmark of this period. Its grain closely resembles Brazilian rosewood, with pronounced figuring, strong midrange character, and a clean, articulate tone. Due to its scarcity today, it is rarely seen on new guitars.

Overall condition is approximately 90 percent, with no obvious fret wear and original Tom Murphy heavy aging throughout, and the instrument remains in excellent condition.

This is one of Tom Murphy’s most value-retaining models. His personally aged works are now discontinued and no longer available on the market. Beyond their important historical role in the reissue line, the wood selection and overall material quality from that era are widely regarded as superior to what is available today, giving these guitars exceptional collectible value. Early Tom Murphy Aged Les Paul Reissues are now extremely difficult to find, and the HRM Heavy Aged version is especially rare. The guitar comes complete with the original serialized checklist and tags, making this a truly rare opportunity for serious collectors.
