琴頸採用 Soft V Shape Profile 搭配華麗的虎紋楓木，帶來經典且舒適的握感，拾音器則搭載 Gold Lace Sensor，並結合 Master TBX Tone Control 與 Mid-Boost 系統。TBX 控制旋鈕的運作方式相當特別，在 0–5 的範圍內為傳統 Tone Control，而當旋鈕超過 5 之後，會逐步降低電阻，釋放出更多低頻與高頻。再搭配最高可提升約 25dB 的中頻增益 (Mid-Boost)，使整體音色更加飽滿、立體且具有表現力。

Crafted by Masterbuilt luthier Todd Krause from the top-tier Masterbuilt division of Fender Custom Shop. The origin of the Clapton Gold Leaf can be traced back to 1996, during Fender’s 50th anniversary, when Eric Clapton commissioned Mark Kendrick to create a Stratocaster featuring a 23K gold leaf finish. By 1997, this guitar became one of Clapton’s main touring instruments, standing out prominently on stage with its striking appearance. It was later sold at a Christie's auction in 2001 for $455,000, establishing itself as a highly iconic collector’s piece.

In 2006, Fender collaborated once again with Eric Clapton and Mark Kendrick to release the first Gold Leaf reissue, creating a tribute series Stratocaster with a genuine gold leaf-covered body. This series features a dazzling all-gold appearance, with each instrument built to Eric Clapton’s exacting specifications, faithfully recreating the original concept. In later years, it has been produced in limited quantities annually by the Masterbuilt division.

The neck features a Soft V shape profile paired with beautifully figured flame maple, delivering a classic and comfortable playing feel. It is equipped with Gold Lace Sensor pickups, along with a Master TBX Tone Control and Mid-Boost system. The TBX control operates uniquely: from 0–5 it functions as a standard tone control, while beyond 5 it gradually reduces resistance, allowing more lows and highs to pass through. Combined with a Mid-Boost capable of delivering up to 25dB of gain, the overall tone becomes richer, more dimensional, and highly expressive.
