This is a Les Paul Burst Replica that comes even closer to true vintage specifications than Gibson’s own 1959 Les Paul Reissue. Gil Yaron, the renowned luthier from Israel, is known for recreating golden-era Gibson and Fender instruments with exceptional accuracy. With decades of accumulated experience, he has restored the details of the original Les Paul Burst to an astonishing level. His replicas are widely regarded as some of the closest instruments to an authentic vintage Les Paul available today.
This guitar features an old-growth mahogany body made from lumber aged over fifty years, a Brazilian rosewood fretboard, and period-correct 1950s wiring, adhesives, metal components, and plastics. The pickups are Yaron’s hand-wound PAF humbuckers in a vintage double-cream configuration, measuring 7.7k in the neck and 8.1k in the bridge. Notably, the back of the headstock features a classic Stinger finish, a detail seen only on certain Les Pauls from the 1950s to 1960s, added here as an homage to vintage tradition.
Compared directly with the two original 1958 and 1959 Gibson Les Pauls currently owned by our company, this Gil Yaron Les Paul Replica is the closest in tonal character to a real vintage Burst that we have ever encountered. It offers exceptional responsiveness, resonance, dryness, and refinement.
Overall, the guitar is in excellent condition, around 90%, with intentionally crafted aging marks throughout the body. Since Gil Yaron received a copyright warning from Gibson and ceased production of these Les Paul Replicas in 2016, they have become extremely scarce on the market.
